Amir Khan's win over Chris Algieri has received mixed reviews, but what's not up for debate is that Algieri fought his heart out. What may be overlooked is that Khan landed some really good shots in the fight, and left Algieri pretty well marked up when all was said and done.

I mean, that's downright disturbing. That's just a gruesome moment of Algieri's face and skin and mouth and nose and eyes all being mashed together thanks to an Amir Khan uppercut. Just an ugly moment captured at the exact right (wrong?) split second.
Sometimes we forget or just don't put in front of our minds that even in fights that aren't brutal, boxing is brutal. This was just another moment of a fight for Chris Algieri, and he kept coming at Amir Khan after this happened to his skull and face.
