Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Boxing is wasting no time in proposing one of his top fighters, IBF welterweight titleholder Kell Brook, as a potential opponent for Floyd Mayweather and/or Manny Pacquiao, telling the Daily Mail that he spoke with Top Rank's Bob Arum just after the fight about the possibility of Pacquiao-Brook.
"We need to see how Pacquiao's recovery goes with his shoulder, but I spoke with Bob Arum, his promoter, in Las Vegas and there is scope for a fight with Kell Brook down the line. Bob sees it as a possibility so let's watch this space."
Hearn also mentioned the idea of Brook or Amir Khan potentially fighting Floyd Mayweather, but added that he's "not sure (he) can see (Mayweather) taking a fight against either of those young lions," while admitting that Floyd would be the big favorite to win.
Brook (34-0, 23 KO) faces Frankie Gavin in his next title defense on May 30 in London, while Pacquiao will be out of action for 9-12 months, as he's facing surgery to repair a torn rotator cuff in his right shoulder.
