Manny Pacquiao: Photo after shoulder surgery

Manny Pacquiao is on the mend following shoulder surgery performed yesterday.

Scott Christ is the managing editor of Bad Left Hook and has been covering boxing for SB Nation since 2006.

Following yesterday's successful shoulder surgery in Los Angeles by Dr. Neil ElAttache, Manny Pacuqiao updated his Instagram account to let his fans know that he's doing well:

Pacquiao, 36, fought last weekend and lost to Floyd Mayweather, and reportedly came in with a shoulder injury suffered a couple of weeks before in training, which the fighter said flared up again in the third round. The surgery was to fix a torn rotator cuff, and has spurned a messy bit of controversy in the post-fight wake, including a potential perjury charge in Nevada.

It's expected that Pacquiao will be out of action 9-12 months.
