Mauricio Herrera and Hank Lundy will headline a July 11 card on HBO Latino, Mike Coppinger reports, with the fight set to take place in Los Angeles, promoted by Golden Boy.

Herrera (21-5, 7 KO) has lost two of his last three fights, but both of those defeats came with plenty of controversy. He lost a majority decision to Danny Garcia in Puerto Rico in March 2014, followed by a win in July over Johan Perez, and then a loss in December to top prospect Jose Benavidez. Both the Garcia and Benavidez decisions were the subject of much debate, with a lot of feeling that Herrera, 34, deserved the nod in both bouts. (BLH scored the Garcia fight 114-114, and the Benavidez fight 118-110 in Herrera's favor.)

Lundy (25-4-1, 12 KO) is looking to bounce back from his own loss in December, when he dropped a split decision against Thomas Dulorme. He's 3-3 in his last six bouts, with wins over Olusegun Ajose, Angelo Santana, and journeyman Gerardo Cuevas coming after losses to Ray Beltran and Viktor Postol in 2012-13. At 31, Philadelphia's outspoken "Hammerin' Hank" is in sort of the same boat as Herrera, respected fighters who haven't quite gotten over the hump for one reason or another (or 25 different reasons), and this makes for an intriguing matchup where both guys really do need the win.
