Bob Arum's 'Super Duper' Dubai Extravaganza

Bob Arum says that he's working on a 'super duper' card to be held in the UAE - and just wait until you hear what he has in store.

After already staging several big events in Macau, Bob Arum is looking towards Dubai for his next big event. Bob Arum says he's been working on putting together a huge event in the UAE later this year, and hopes everything falls right into place.

"I'm working on a super duper card in Dubai in November. What we'd do is HBO would televise it live in the afternoon in the United States," said Arum, noting that it would be night in the Middle East. "We want to do three championship fights of high quality. I've already talked to (HBO Sports president Ken) Hershman about it."

Now, of course, an exotic location cannot make for a big event all on its own - Arum will need the fights to make it stand out, and here's what Arum has in mind:

1) A featherweight title unification bout between Vasyl Lomachenko and Nicholas Walters, assuming that Walters gets past Miguel Marriaga this Saturday on HBO.

2) A welterweight (title?) fight between the winner of Timothy Bradley - Jessie Vargas (June 27th on HBO) and Sadam Ali. [The Bradley-Vargas fight could be for the vacant WBO title if Mayweather decides to vacate]

3) A super middleweight title bout between challenger Gilberto Ramirez and the winner of Arthur Abraham and Robert Stieglitz (July 18th).

"It would be a tripleheader championship event," Arum said. "They have an indoor stadium about 15 miles from the center of Dubai. We've had very, very interesting discussions.

"I'm not saying definitely it's going to happen, but I know how to do these things and I know what's real and what's bulls---. I feel this is real. Would I bet my life on it happening? Not yet -- not until we have a sizable deposit."

Tell me, how do you all feel about this card and what kind of chances do you give Arum to pull it off?
