Arum: No catchweight fight for Lomachenko, Walters has to make 126lbs

Bob Arum says Lomachenko isn't interested in fighting Walters at a catchweight, and that any fight between them would have to take place at 126lbs.

One of the biggest 'little man' fights to make out there is Vasyl Lomachenko vs. Nicholas Walters. The talk about a showdown between the two has been simmering for at least several months now. The problem is, in Walters last fight he was unable to make the featherweight limit of 126lbs and lost his title on the scales. Currently neither Walters nor promoter Bob Arum are sure if his days of campaigning in featherweight division are over.

In the video above, Bob Arum says that Lomachenko isn't interested in fighting Walters at a catchweight and that any proposed fight between them would have to happen at 126lbs - but is that even a real possibility? Arum goes on to say that even if Lomachenko were amenable to a catchweight fight, he wouldn't be for it as he wants them to fight for the featherweight title and sees no reason for a catchweight bout.

I, for one, would think Walters apparent inability to make the featherweight limit would be a great reason...
