Roberto Garcia pulls out of Errol Spence fight on Broner-Porter card

Roberto Garcia has removed himself from the PBC card on Saturday because he's not close to making weight. Errol Spence now needs a late replacement.

Errol Spence Jr. is now without an opponent two days before his scheduled fight and Mayweather Promotions is scrambling to find a late replacement. Spence's opponent, Roberto Garcia, has now pulled out of two of his last three fights due to his inability to make weight - which is obviously a troubling sign for any promoter.

One of the possible replacements for Spence is said to be Phil Lo Greco (26-1, 14 KOs), but he's a guy who has only fought once in almost two years, beating a journeyman this past March. But as it so happens, options may be limited to find a late and suitable replacement who can make the 147lb limit by the weigh-in tomorrow. This is boxing though, and I'm sure Al Haymon will be able to scrounge up a stumblebum from somewhere.

Although the fight between Spence and Garcia was supposed to be a small step up for Spence, a highly regarded welterweight prospect, he was still greatly favored in that match-up. I can guarantee you he'll still be highly favored against whomever he fights on Saturday. I mean, Spence does look to be the goods after all..
