Carl Froch is said to still be weighing his options: retirement, a fight with James DeGale, or an epically fan friendly fight with Gennady Golovkin. The good news for us fans is that Froch is said to be excited about the opportunity to fight GGG on the world stage, perhaps enough so to tip the scales in that favor. Carl hasn't fought since knocking out George Groves last year at Wembley Stadium, "in front of 80,000 screaming fans," and has been considering retirement ever since.
"The only reason I'd like that fight is because it would be really difficult to win," Froch told talkSPORT.
"He's a tough kid, he's unbeaten and he's got a knock-out punch. I don't think many people would give me a chance and you know what, that excites me. I like that."
"Call me stupid, call me brave, call me what you want and that's a fight I can win."
Froch, generally considered to be a throwback fighter that yearns for the biggest challenges out there, seems to be talking himself into taking the fight with Golovkin, which would be freakin' awesome! Some even believe if Froch does take the fight and wins, it'll secure his spot in the HOF. Froch is expected to make his final decision and official announcement of his future within the coming days.
