Friday Night Knockout / ShoBox: Live streaming results and round by round coverage

Friday Night Knockout and ShoBox return to the airwaves tonight.

Mikey Williams / Top Rank

Tonight at 10 pm EST on truTV, Top Rank's Friday Night Knockout series returns with a super middleweight main event from State Farm Arena in Hidalgo, Texas, as Gilberto Ramirez takes on Derek Edwards.

Ramirez (31-0, 24 KO) is a rising contender in the division, but the jury remains out as to whether or not he'll be a serious player against better opposition. He made his HBO debut on January 24 with a win over Maxim Vlasov, but did struggle at times in that fight, and didn't overly impress. Edwards (27-4-1, 14 KO) is a 35-year-old veteran still riding the relative high of upsetting Badou Jack in February 2014, even though Edwards returned 10 months later with a wide loss to Andre Dirrell.

The co-feature will be a lightweight bout between Diego Magdaleno (27-1, 11 KO) and Jose "Chepo" Gonzalez (24-1, 19 KO), which may wind up a really interesting bout.

There's another live card tonight, too, as ShoBox returns to Showtime at 10:35 pm EST with a triple-header. In the main event, middleweight prospect Dominic Wade (17-0, 12 KO) faces veteran and former titleholder Sam Soliman (44-12, 18 KO). The TV opener will see heavyweights Oscar Rivas (16-0, 11 KO) and Jason Pettaway (17-2, 10 KO) meet in an eight-round clash. That fight is replacing Jamel Herring's bout, which was scrapped when Herring's opponent came in overweight. The co-feature will see heavily hyped 19-year-old welterweight prospect Erickson Lubin (10-0, 7 KO) face Ayi Bruce (23-9, 15 KO) in another eight-round bout.

We'll have live coverage for the FNKO card on truTV before switching over to Showtime, hopefully with enough time left to catch the main event. But all of tonight's fights are fair game for the comments. Join us!
