Floyd set to earn at least $220M from May-Pac, Pacquiao $150M

Both Floyd and Manny earned more money in one night than most of us could possibly imagine.

Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao both hit the jackpot on May 2nd. With the final tallies beginning to wrap up, Floyd is expected to earn a final total of somewhere between $220-$230M for his 36-minute effort. Manny Pacquaio is expected to earn something slightly north of $150M in gross, but his take will be reduced a hefty sum after Top Rank takes its cut. Both Mayweather and Pacquiao will see their respective shares diminished even more after Uncle Sam takes his portion as well.

The elephant in the room on the Pacquiao/TR side is that a large portion of the money they earned may have to be forfeited back to fans who paid for the fight. Pacquiao currently has 41 pending lawsuits against him by fans who paid for the fight and claim they were duped by Pacquiao because he didn't disclose his shoulder injury prior to the bout. The rationale behind this is that should the general public have known beforehand that Pacquiao was hampered by a torn rotator cuff (an injury he only revealed after the fight), they wouldn't have shelled out all that money to buy "the fight of the century."
