Flanagan vs Zepeda: Live streaming results and round by round coverage

Terry Flanagan and Jose Zepeda clash with the vacant WBO lightweight title on the line this afternoon.

This afternoon from Manchester, Terry Flanagan and Jose Zepeda will meet in a main event fight for the vacant WBO lightweight title, headlining a BoxNation bill that starts at 2:00 pm EST. BLH will be here with live coverage of the main event.

Flanagan (27-0, 10 KO) and Zepeda (23-0, 20 KO) are both looking to make their mark on what is a pretty wide-open division right now. The two 26-year-old fighters have some familiar names on their records, but no really big wins.

The undercard has mostly tune-up type fights. Liam Walsh will face Isaias Santos Sampaio in a 12-round lightweight bout; Jack Catterall takes on Gabriel Fernando Punalef Calfin in a 10-round junior welterweight fight; and Paul Butler faces Gustavo Molina in a 10-round super bantamweight fight. There are several other fights scheduled for the card, as well.

The lightweight division will get a new titleholder and potentially a new serious player this afternoon, so join us for the fight!

Round 1: Stared at the round and forgot to type. I'm off to an incredible start! Zepeda wins round one pretty clearly, good start for the road fighter. Zepeda 10-9

Round 2: Flanagan looking a little better to start this round, but Zepeda clips on the way in about halfway into the round. Flanagan recovers, slips in a body shot. Zepeda starting to walk to Flanagan now, though, doesn't appear to have much fear of what's coming from Flanagan offensively. Then Flanagan changes that script pretty quickly, which is good stuff from Flanagan reading a situation that doesn't benefit him. Well Jose Zepeda appears to have totally destroyed his left shoulder. Flanagan 10-9, 19-19

Fight is stopped after round two. Terry Flanagan wins (RTD-2) to win WBO lightweight title.
