The Cobra has officially called it quits. This news was more or less expected after Froch said he was interested in a fight with Gennady Golovkin but apparently thought better of it once Gennady's team tried to start the negotiations. Carl Froch's story in the ring now officially ends with his ceremonious knockout of George Groves "in front of 80,000 screaming fans at Wembley Stadium!"

"I'm incredibly proud of what I have achieved in boxing but now is the right moment to hang up my gloves. I have nothing left to prove and my legacy speaks for itself," said Froch.

With Froch officially retired from fighting, but not the sport, he will continue on as an expert analyst for for Sky Sports boxing team in the UK. It looks like Froch will soon make the ballot for the boxing HOF, but with his resume as it currently stands, is it strong enough to get him inducted?
