Yang vs Cuenca, Donaire vs Settoul: Live streaming results and round by round coverage

New, comments

Top Rank is back in Macau today, with Nonito Donaire, Jose Ramirez, Ik Yang, Denis Shafikov, and more in action.

This morning at 6:00 am EST, the latest fight card from Macau will go live on TopRank.TV, which will feature the full "undercard," but it's kind of a jumble, as a pair of fights are slated to air on tape delay tonight on UniMas, and what is the real main event will be part of the undercard stream.

The local main event on the card features Ik Yang (19-0, 14 KO) will face Cesar Cuenca (47-0, 2 KO) for the vacant IBF 140-pound title, which was most recently held by Lamont Peterson, who was stripped earlier this year. Yang, 30, has been a regular on the Macau undercards, and could become a reliable draw if he's able to call himself "world champion." Cuenca is an incredibly light puncher, but however you get there, he is 47-0.

UniMas headliner Nonito Donaire (34-3, 22 KO) looks for a second straight win in the super bantamweight division, to which he returned following a featherweight beatdown at the hands of Nicholas Walters last October. In March, Donaire stopped William Prado in two rounds in the Philippines, and now is back in Macau against another soft touch, France's Anthony Settoul (20-3, 8 KO).

The other UniMas fight will pit junior welterweight prospect Jose Ramirez (14-0, 11 KO) against Japan's Ryusei Yoshida (26-7, 13 KO), so it's expected that those will be the last two fights of the card.

For those looking to watch live this morning and catch the full card, BoxNation in the UK does have coverage starting at 8:30 am EST.

Also on the show:

  • Denis Shafikov (35-1-1, 19 KO) vs Roy Mukhlis (27-4-3, 21 KO), lightweights, 10 rounds
  • Rex Tso (16-0, 9 KO) vs Khunkhiri Wor Wisaruth (21-11-1, 14 KO), bantamweights, 8 rounds
  • Zulpikar Maimaitiali (1-0, 1 KO) vs Joo Young Kwon (3-0, 9 KO), super middlweights, 4 rounds
