Shane Mosley Jr. has just received a temporary suspension by the Nevada State Athletic Commission after he tested positive for amphetamines following his first round KO over Jason Kelly in June 27th's BKB event. This failed drug test and subsequent suspension will nix him from the next two cards he was scheduled to appear on - this weekend's Kovalev-Mohammedi fight and his father's August 29th rematch with Ricardo Mayorga.
Mosley Jr. will now have to explain himself in a NSAC hearing where he is likely to receive an extended suspension and forfeit a portion of his $25,000 purse. The hearing will most likely take place during the next commission meeting in either August or September.
Julian Pollard, a heavyweight who also fought and won a decision during the BKB event, failed a post fight drug test as well, testing positive for Methylhexaneamine. He'll have to face the commission to explain himself also, as he too faces a long suspension and fine.
