Tonight at 9 pm EST on Spike, Premier Boxing Champions is back with a triple-header in the heavyweight and cruiserweight divisions, featuring one world title fight on the undercard, and a pair of veteran ex-champions in the main event.

Tonight's fights:

  • Main event, heavyweights, 12 rounds: Antonio Tarver (31-6, 22 KO) vs Steve Cunningham (28-7, 13 KO)
  • Cruiserweights, 12 rounds: Marco Huck (38-2-1, 26 KO) vs Krzysztof Glowacki (24-0, 15 KO)
  • Heavyweights, 10 rounds: Artur Szpilka (19-1, 12 KO) vs Yasmany Consuegra (17-1, 14 KO)
Tarver, 46, is hoping to make unlikely history eventually, while Cunningham, 39, is a very live underdog, if you see him as an underdog, which is debatable at best. Huck is looking to make a record 14th title defense at cruiserweight. Szpilka vs Consuegra figures to be a showcase fight for the popular Szpilka.

Round 1: Spike calls Tarver "the greatest light heavyweight of his generation." I don't have the time. Tarver looks doughy. Literally nothing happens for 2 minutes. Tarver feints. Cunningham pokes a jab out now and then. Tarver landed one punch. He wins the round! Tarver 10-9

Round 2: THIS IS ATROCIOUS. This fight is not a fight. Cunningham on...activity? I guess? Cunningham 10-9, 19-19

Round 3: Cunningham's activity now clearly winning the fight. Tarver looks terrible. Cunningham 10-9, 29-28

Round 4: Tarver turning up the output, throwing a punch sometimes. Cunningham still easily outworking him. But then there's a left and Cunningham wobbles, may have been the feet crossing up though. Replay shows it was a little of both, but a legit shot. Tarver actually wins this round for real. Tarver 10-9, 38-38

Round 5: Tarver starting to zero in on power shots, and Cunningham always vulnerable, so here we are. Tarver is arguably winning this fight. Tarver 10-9, 48-47

Note: My cable went out due to bad weather in the middle of the sixth round, so I had to abandon scoring the fight at this point. Apologies. - Scott

Round 1: Southpaw Glowacki fairly aggressive to start. Crowd is REALLY vocal, fans for both. Huck throws a hard right to the body, it lands. Glowacki seems to be bothering Huck just a bit, at least in terms of his timing and making Huck think more than he prefers. Huck throws a combo, nothing really lands. Huck's hook bounces off the glove of Glowacki. Glowacki with a left to push Huck back. Glowacki pressing with jabs to the body, and throwing in combination upstairs. He's staying busy. Glowacki hurts Huck late in the round! Bell sounds. Glowacki 10-9

Round 2: Glowacki had the first round he wanted, and he's got the crowd behind him, while the Huck fans are also making noise. Great atmosphere. Huck moving a bit more to slow down Glowacki's work rate. But Huck isn't getting much by way of offense, and still being out-worked. Glowacki 10-9, 20-18

Round 3: Huck getting busier this round, and looking like he feels a minor sense of urgency to get going in the first half. But Glowacki pushes him back with a combination again. Glowacki just walking him down now. Kind of expect Huck to start with the fouling very quickly. Glowacki takes another round. Glowacki 10-9, 30-27

Round 4: Glowacki's body shots are bothering Huck. Huck landing some decent rights this round, though, and looking alive. Huck better this round and I think he takes it. He arguably had the second, too, so this could easily be 2-2. Huck 10-9, Glowacki 39-37

Round 5: Glowacki with a charge, Huck retreats but catches Glowacki with a hard right hand, then a combo. Huck's picking it up. Glowacki slopping it up a bit more than earlier. Could be that he already showed the best he can do, and Huck probably has not. Huck with another good right hand late. Huck 10-9, Glowacki 48-47

Round 6: Down goes Glowacki, caught throwing and dropped hard! He's hurt and wobbly as he gets up. May not last. Two minutes left. Glowacki comes out FIRING THOUGH! HOLY COW! HUCK GETS NAILED! HUCK CHARGING FOR THE FINISH, GLOWACKI READY TO THROW! Glowacki has turned it around now! Huck bounces a right off the top of his head. Huck with a right to the body, and another. Glowacki eats another right. This is a real brawl right now. What a hoot. Glowacki with a hard right hook to the body. Huck firing, Glowacki throwing back. Huck 10-8, 57-56

Round 7: Glowacki looks fine to start this round, showing either nice recuperative ability or an ability to play possum a bit. Glowacki with the body work again. Tempo has slowed, Glowacki waiting for opportunities and Huck maybe having to slow down after a huge effort in round 6. Glowacki with a HARDLEFTHAND! He controls this round. Glowacki 10-9, 66-66

Round 8: Huck coming on hard in this round, but Glowacki right there with him, too. This is a war of attrition now. Huck batters his way to a bounce-back round here. What a good fight this has become. One of the better Huck fights. Huck 10-9, 76-75

Round 9: Pace slows down again this round. Still pretty entertaining. Crowd helps with that. Glowacki cut on a headbutt, right on the right eyebrow. Was from a headbutt. Swing round here, but I liked Glowacki slightly. Glowacki 10-9, 85-85

Round 10: Huck throwing some heavy right hands and combinations in the second minute of this round after a fairly even first minute. Glowacki, who doesn't have much experience at all being this deep in a fight, is wearing down somewhat, and Huck's experience showing. Huck really bullying this round, imposing his will. Glowacki's mouthpiece falls out to give us a quick break. Huck 10-9, 95-94

Round 11: Huck clearly seems to have more gas in the tank, at least to me. This could be a round or two wider than I have it, too. DOWN GOES MARCO HUCK ON A LEFT HAND!!! OH MY! GLOWACKI GOING FOR THE FINISH LATE IN THE ROUND! HE GETS IT! IT'S OVER! IT'S OVER! WHAT A FINISH! GLOWACKI TKO-11
