Antonio Tarver and Steve Cunningham didn't lose, but they didn't win. Nobody won.

In a bout that saw both men look their age, 46-year-old Antonio Tarver and 39-year-old Steve Cunningham battled, to put it loosely, to a split draw, with scores of 115-113 Cunningham, 115-114 Tarver, and 114-114 from the ringside judges.

Tarver (31-6-1, 22 KO) and Cunningham (28-7-1, 13 KO) started slow and didn't pick up much from there, drawing plenty of boos from the crowd at Newark's Prudential Center. My cable went out in the middle of the fight, and I was only able to pick up bits of the fight from that point on, but what I saw was pretty lousy, Cunningham doing a bit of ineffective work, and Tarver showing that if nothing else, his timing was still there in spots.

Neither of these guys have a heavyweight title in their future, as it's pretty much impossible to imagine either managing to hang in against Wladimir Klitschko or Deontay Wilder, or kinda-titleholder Alexander Povetkin.
