Lomachenko and Rigondeaux try negotiating fight on Twitter

Vasyl Lomachenko took to Twitter to call out Guillermo Rigondeaux for a fight. The two couldn't originally come to an agreement over a fight weight, but still seem to be trying to work it out.

A potential  fight between Vasyl Lomchenko and Guillermo Rigondeaux is any boxing purist's wet dream. The two were reportedly trying to work out negotiations for a fight (or at least Rigo's manager Gary Hyde was) but the two couldn't come to an agreement on a fight weight. Lomachenko, who campaigns at featherweight, wanted the fight at 126lbs and Rigo, who campaigns a division below, wanted a catchweight of 124lbs.

So just when a lot of us were beginning to forget all about this potential fight, Lomachenko took to Twitter to call out Rigondeaux.

Rigo responded to Vasyl by tweeting his own reponse:

This roughly translates to Rigo saying "Hence the best pay. I offer you a million. If you want, the winner takes all the money you can think of."

Lomachenko then replied to Rigo with this little tidbit:

Does any of this mean we're a step closer to Lomachenko-Rigondeaux? I'm not sure, but it's certainly cause for hope!
