In anticipation of their November 21st PPV clash, Miguel Cotto and Canelo Alvarez will be formally announcing their fight today in Los Angeles as the first part of a four-city international press tour. WBC middleweight champion Miguel Cotto will be defending his 160lb strap for the second time when he takes on former junior-middleweight titlist Canelo Alvarez at a 155lb catchweight.
This highly anticipated match has all the makings of a huge commercial success and is probably the biggest fight on the remaining 2015 schedule (with all due respect to Mayweather-Berto, *cough cough*).
After today's presser, Cotto and Canelo will be hitting upCity tomorrow, New York City on Wednesday, and finally culminating in Cotto's hometown of Caguas, Puerto Rico. It's expected that ticket prices and their availability will be formally announced today as well, so stay tuned if you're hoping to snag a seat or two to catch this one in person.
