Mosley wants Marquez or Brook next

With Mayorga out of the way (was he even in the way?), Shane Mosley would personally like to make a fight with either Juan Manuel Marquez or Kell Brook.

I'm not sure how many of you bought the PPV but I'm sure most of you should know by now that Shane Mosley stopped Ricardo Mayorga at the end of six rounds over the weekend. After the fight Mosley gloated that his PPV event was a hit, and although that's a little hard to fathom, I'll reserve judgement for when, if ever, the official numbers are released.

So with Mosley now taking Mayorga out of the picture, one he hasn't really been in for at least 4 1/2 years, he's looking forward to making his next fight, preferably with Juan Manuel Marquez or titlist Kell Brook.

Juan Manuel Marquez is undoubtedly a Mexican legend, but it's no secret the man has a bum knee which for all intents and purposes have him on the brink of an official retirement. Kell Brook, on the other hand, is still in his prime and currently holds the IBF welterweight strap, which is obviously appealing to Mosley. And although Brook has been mentioned to be in negotiations for a Diego Chaves fight in October, perhaps Mosley's name will generate bigger interest for bigger business. We shall see.

One thing is for certain though: if Mosley's decisive win over an inactive 42-year-old chain smoker isn't proof positive of his career resurgence, I just don't know what is. Happy hunting, Shane.
