Video: Oleksandr Usyk scores eighth knockout in eight fights

The London gold medalist disposed of Johnny Muller in three rounds

2012 gold medalist Oleksandr Usyk kept up the good work this past weekend with a third-round finish of Johnny Muller, his eighth (T)KO victory in eight fights.

Usyk, who defeated Artur Beterbiev at the Olympics and at the World Amateur Championships the year before, is the current WBO "Inter-Continental" champion and was the number-two WBO contender behind Krzysztof Glowacki before the Pole's upset of Marco Huck.

With K2 Promotions behind him, it wouldn't surprise me to see the big Ukrainian in a major fight in the very near future. Considering that cruiserweight probably has the highest density of ludicrous punchers in all of boxing, that's reason to be excited.

If you're interested, the entire fight card is also on YouTube, with Usyk's bout starting at about the 3:40:00 mark.

Though he's less than two years into his pro career, Usyk's already a fighter to be excited about. It'll be quite interesting to see what happens next.
