When it comes to interviews, Floyd Mayweather Sr, like his son, is always a treat for hopeful journalists. True to form, he had some real gems in a recent interview at the Mayweather Boxing Club.
When asked the seemingly simple question, "do you think Berto is an easier opponent than Pacquiao," the elder Mayweather had this to say: "Man, Pacquiao . . . I think that was one of Floyd's easiest fights. And he's talking about a rematch. Rematch who? Who in the hell Pacquiao gonna whoop? Nobody."
Continuing, Floyd Sr. insisted that Pacquiao had no say when it comes to a potential rematch: "Listen. Pacquiao don't control nothing. He gonna fight who Floyd want him to fight. He can't do nothing. He's a dead man right now, in a grave."
Despite practically daring all of Floyd's "haters" to purchase the fight because "they want to see him lose," Floyd Sr. still couldn't pretend that Berto is actually a stiffer test for Floyd than Pacquiao was. "Berto might [dominate Pacquiao], but he won't do that to Floyd."
