Victor Ortiz calls Mayweather 'trash,' still wants rematch

Victor Ortiz is still around, and he still wants a rematch with Floyd Mayweather.

There was at least one totally unimpressed spectator last night when Floyd Mayweather dominated Andre Berto to go to 49-0, and that is one "Vicious" Victor Ortiz, past opponent of both men in 2011, when he and Berto won the Fight of the Year, and he and Mayweather put on one of the most bizarre fights in recent memory.

Ortiz, who is barely even a professional boxer at this point, tweeted a late night slam to Mayweather criticizing the fight and his former foe:

Ortiz (30-5-2, 23 KO) beat Berto in an all-out slugfest in 2011, and five months later faced Mayweather, a fight that ended after an absurdly blatant leaping headbutt from Ortiz, followed by Mayweather's infamous "sucker punch" knockout.

Ortiz has fought just three times since then, losing to Josesito Lopez and Luis Collazo before a December 2014 win over club fighter Manuel Perez. Now 28, Ortiz could conceivably stage a comeback and has plenty of time for boxing, at least physically, but at the moment is essentially a non-factor in the sport.
