The December 12 clash between British heavyweight prospects Anthony Joshua and Dillian Whyte is already sold out, according to Sky Sports, meaning that even if there's still plenty to prove in the ring, Joshua has clearly captured the UK public imagination and become one of the top-drawing fighters out there.
Joshua (14-0, 14 KO) returned to the ring on Saturday, beating Gary Cornish in 97 seconds. Whyte (16-0, 13 KO) fought on the undercard, beating American veteran Brian Minto by third round knockout.
Joshua and Whyte have history from their amateur days, when Whyte beat Joshua in Whyte's first amateur boxing bout after a solid pro kickboxing career. The two have been talking about a possible fight for a while now, and the time is right to make it happen, clearly.
Joshua has thus far not been taken beyond the third round as a professional, racking up quite a highlight reel, which lends itself well to big, theatrical entrances, as we saw on Saturday before he laid waste to Cornish.
Do you see Whyte giving Joshua any trouble, or will it be another blowout?
