Middleweight contender Chris Eubank Jr has signed a new promotional deal with Eddie Hearn's Matchroom Boxing, meaning the second generation fighter will be moving to Sky Sports in the United Kingdom. Along with the signing, Eubank has already been booked for two fight dates.
Eubank (19-1, 14 KO) will be back in the ring on October 24 in Sheffield, as part of the Kell Brook-Diego Chaves card. He'll then return on December 12 in London on the Anthony Joshua-Dillian Whyte bill, meaning Eubank will be seen on the two biggest UK cards set for the remainder of 2015.
The 26-year-old Eubank narrowly lost to Billy Joe Saunders last November, and returned in February to defeat Dmitry Chudinov. He's been out of action since then. Eubank does not yet have an opponent for either of his upcoming bouts.
"I am delighted to welcome Eubank Jr to our team. I hope to have similar success with Eubank Jr as my father did with Chris Eubank," said Hearn.
Eubank's father added, in his usual way, "With our new partnership with Matchroom Boxing, we will be in an even stronger position to add value to boxing by capitalizing on opportunities through focused collaboration. This new association will allow us to play an even bigger role in boxing by giving fans what they love and to build unique opportunities and experiences with a rich mix of new contests."
