FS1, 9:00 pm EST, Javier Fortuna vs Carlos Velasquez, Domonique Dolton vs Oscar Molina. A solid main event with a top fighter at 130 pounds defending a world title, and what I think is a really interesting co-feature between a pair of undefeated prospects. So basically this is a very good ShoBox main event as a co-feature and a solid world title main event, too. BLH will have live coverage.

Friday, October 2

BoxNation (UK), TyC Sports (ARG), 9:00 pm EST, Victor Ramirez vs Ovill McKenzie. This is likely to be the one and only world title shot that McKenzie (25-12, 13 KO) is going to get as he goes for the IBF belt held by Ramirez in Argentina. (Ramirez was bumped up to full titleholder when Yoan Pablo Hernandez went totally inactive.) McKenzie, nicknamed "The Upsetter," has won four straight in the UK. This is a step up for him, as Ramirez is a good fighter and coming off of a solid win over Ola Afolabi. BLH will have live coverage.

Ring TV Live / Estrella TV, 10:00 pm EST, Patrick Teixeira vs TBA, Zachary Ochoa vs Alejandro Rodriguez.

Saturday, October 3

BoxNation (UK), 2:00 pm EST, Tommy Langford vs Cristian Fabian Rios, Ryan Aston vs Nathan Graham. Langford is an unbeaten prospect looking to move his way up. Rios is one of those mediocre fighters British promoters like to fly in as an "international test."

SHO, 10:00 pm EST, Adrien Broner vs Khabib Allakhverdiev, Jose Pedraza vs Edner Cherry. Broner is taking on a very competent, very solid, very other-words-for-pretty-good fighter here as he looks to rebound from a welterweight loss to Shawn Porter. Broner does have two pro losses, both at 147, and this will be at least a decent test back at 140. Pedraza-Cherry is a world title fight, with Pedraza defending the IBF 130 pound title. BLH will have live coverage.

matthysse postol

HBO, 10:15 pm EST, Lucas Matthysse vs Viktor Postol, Antonio Orozco vs Humberto Soto. Matthysse-Postol is for the vacant WBC 140-pound title, and Soto-Orozco is a nice crossroads fight in the same division. This is a really solid card, much like the Showtime broadcast. Sadly they're going head-to-head, but hey, we'll have coverage of both shows live. I'll be on this one, with Wil taking the Showtime fights. BLH will have live coverage.

Azteca (MEX), 11:30 pm EST, Javier Mendoza vs TBA. Mendoza holds the IBF junior flyweight title. He does not have an opponent yet.
