Training camp is officially underway for Miguel Cotto, who is preparing to defend his WBC middleweight title against fellow superstar Canelo Alvarez on November 21st at the Mandalay Bay (aired on HBO PPV). This fight will mark Cotto's second title defense of the green middleweight strap and should easily be highest selling fight this year, outside of Mayweather-Pacquiao.

"I am more than ready to get to work and am fully confident that the plan Freddie Roach has in place for our team is going to ensure that I am prepared to lock in this victory on Nov. 21," said Cotto, who will be working with Roach for the fourth consecutive fight."

Trainer Freddie Roach is happy to get training camp underway and has made repeated statements that Canelo doesn't do anything better than Cotto inside the ring, leading to his high degree of confidence. Freddie also credits Cotto's work ethic as something that should lead to his success for the upcoming fight.

"The energy at Wild Card is at an all-time high. Miguel is one of the hardest working men I know and he did not waste any time getting into the ring with me," said Roach, a Hall of Famer and seven-time trainer of the year. "I know that we have the tools we need for a successful training camp that will put Miguel in the best position possible to beat Canelo."
