Tomorrow afternoon's Premier Boxing Champions on CBS doubleheader is set and good to go, as all four main card fighters made weight for their fights in Corpus Christi, Texas.
In the main event, Anthony Dirrell (27-1-1, 22 KO) will look to bounce back from his first career loss as he faces tough Mexican veteran Marco Antonio Rubio (59-7-1, 51 KO). The two super middleweights will be meeting just a bit north of the normal divisional limit, with Dirrell weighing in at 169.6 pounds, and Rubio at 169.4.
The co-feature is a bantamweight title rematch between Jamie McDonnell (26-2-1, 12 KO) and Tomoki Kameda (31-1, 19 KO), with both fighters weighing in at 117.8 pounds, just below the limit. McDonnell beat Kameda on May 9 in Hidalgo, Texas. Both fighters have a tall task here -- it's not going to be easy for McDonnell to repeat, and it's not going to be easy for Kameda to get revenge. Their first fight was a razor-thin decision with McDonnell winning 114-113 on all three cards.
