Kell Brook (35-0, 24 KOs) will officially be taking on Kevin Bizier (25-2, 17 KOs) in his next outing for his IBF mandatory title defense. Promoters for both sides, Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Boxing and Yvon Michel, were able to come to an agreement yesterday, which canceled this afternoon's scheduled purse bid for the fight.
Eddie Hearn says the details on the date and location for the fight will be announced later this week, but that the fight will take place in the United Kingdom.
Bizier, a Quebec native, earned his spot as Brook's mandatory challenger by stopping Fredrick Lawson in 10 rounds last November and is currently rated number 20 by BoxRec.
Brook is most recently coming off a sixth round TKO win over Frankie Gavin last May. It's said that Eddie Hearn has been in touch with Amir Khan's camp about making the heavily anticipated fight between Brook and Khan, but nothing has come of it thus far.
