PBC on FS1 - Flores vs Briones: Live streaming results and round by round coverage

Tonight at 11 pm EST on FS1, Premier Boxing Champions returns for their first card of 2016, with featherweight prospect Miguel Flores taking on Mario Briones in the main event. Patrick L. Stumberg will be here for the round by round call and results.

Flores (18-0, 9 KO) is a 23-year-old Mexican fighter, now residing in Houston, and will have home field, as it were, in San Antonio at Cowboys Dancehall, which has become a familiar boxing venue in recent years. He's coming off of a win over Ghana's Alfred Tetteh on the 11/10 edition of PBC on FS1.

Briones (27-4-2, 20 KO) is a 30-year-old veteran, also from Mexico, who has built his record mostly on beating scrub opponents, but he does have a couple of decent wins. On paper, he's a sideways step from Tetteh, and part of Flores' build.

Also in action tonight will be Egyptian light heavyweight Ahmed Elbiali (13-0, 11 KO) in action against Andrew Hernandez (10-3-1, 2 KO), and undefeated welterweight prospect Bryant Perrella (12-0, 11 KO) against veteran Ramon Ayala (25-5-1, 13 KO).

Round one: Flores working behind a strong jab in the early going. 2-1 lands. He looks like the faster of the two. Solid body shot. Briones to the body. Double hook to the body by Flores. One minute in. Briones to the body, pops him with a jab. Clinch. Briones putting together some combinations. Flores' jab working well. One minute to go. Lead hook by Flores, then to the body. Again. Hard counter right upstairs. More body work by Flores. Briones tries to open up on the ropes, eats more body shots. Briones continues to pursue and land punches until the bell. 10-9 Flores.

Round two: Briones busy in the early going, firing combinations. Flores answers with body blows. Clinch. Solid hook by Briones. Flores to the body with more power hooks. Hard one upstairs and now he's on the attack. Nice upeprcuts connect. Flores digs a right downstairs and a hook upstairs. One minute in. Good exchanges in the center. Both dig to the body. Another good body shot by Flores. Stiff jab snaps Briones' head back, after which Flores digs to the body with right hands. Briones tries to back him to the ropes, gets reversed. One minute to go. Round three: Briones starting fast once more. Flores cracks him with a left hook, then returns to the jab. LEad right by Flores. Briones is staying busy but eating more than he lands. Hard body blows by Flores, then that ramrod jab. One minute in. Briones lands a sequence upstairs. Lead hook by Briones, then downstairs. He's warned for low blows. Flores continues to bang to the body, then lands some right hands upstairs. Clinch. Right hand by Flores again. One minute in. 1-2 lands for Flores. Swatting right by Briones. Round four: Clinch to start. Briones sporting a cut from those right hands. Left hook exchange. 2-3 by Briones. Counter right by Flores, then a combination. One minute in. Flores to the body, clinch. Flores rips to the body; Briones is still landing, just not with the same volume or effect. Another set of right hands land for Flores. Briones with a counter combo. 3-2 by Flores. Another right hand by Flores. One minute to go. More brutal right hands from Flores. Briones is getting chewed up by these combinations. Even the jab looks like it hurts. Round five: Briones lands a hook early. Flores dings him with yet another right hand soon after, then a hook. Good combo by Briones. Flores with a right downstairs, eats one upstairs and goes low. They go at it inside, then Briones tries to pursue and runs into a 1-2. One minute in. Flores is winning these exchanges, landing brutal body shots. Briones sneaks in an uppercut. Clinch. Nasty hooks downstairs from Flores. Briones' face does not look good, although he does land a combo before clinching. 2-3 by Flores. One minute to go. Briones still slinging leather, but eats another pair of right hands. Right cross by Flores, then an uppercut and right cross. Savage combination by Flores. Round six: The action continues at the start of this round. Flores just the sharper, faster puncher. Flores sporting a cut of his own. Uppercut lands between clinches. Left hooks upstairs. One minute in. Another left hook to the head. Counter rights from Flores. Briones is game, just not landing with the same kind of effect. Briones to the body, eats hooks. Four-punch combo from Flores, clinch. One minute to go. Clinch. Flores to the boy, eats a 3-2 up top. Clinch. Round seven: Slower beginning to this round. Flores continues to win the jab battle. Solid hooks. Flores moving well, potshotting the body. One minute in. Briones goes way low with a punch, but Flores doesn't take long. He goes back to work with left hooks ,but eats a combination. Flores right in there with him, throwing heat. Clinch. One minute to go. 3-2-1 by Flores. Briones to the body, eats a hard hook, lands one of his own. Brutal check hook by Flores. Clinch. Right hands by Briones, right hands by Flores and left hooks. Round eight: Briones with a solid overhand right early. Nice body exchange and they continue trading blows. Briones is game as hell, but still eating more than he dishes out. Round ten: They continue to trade in the center. Flores seems to have his wind again, stinging Briones with the jab and moving his head. Clash of heads and Briones seems either hurt or milking it. Still, he elects to continue. Flores goes right back to work, eats a left hook inside. Clinch. One minute in. Flores to the body and head with left hooks. More exchanges. Clinch. Bryant Perrella vs. Ramon Ayala

Round one: Check hook lands for Perrella, then a hard 3-2. Another and this one rocks Ayala. Ayala eats some shots but manages to tie up. Once again. Perrella jacks him with another right hook, then another on the counter. One minute in. Ayala can't take these punches. Straight left, right hook. Sharp jabs by Perrella. Another right hook lands. One minute to go. Clinch. Overhand left by Ayala, clinch. Ayala to the body. Straight left lands for Perrella, then a right hook and body shots. Late hook by Ayala after the bell. 10-9 Perrella.

Round two: Perrella staying patient, landing more stinging jabs. Body shots, clinch. Counter left connects. Ayala to the body, eats a jab. One minute in. Ayala's reacting to feints. Clinch. Round one: Elbiali advancing early. Hernandez twitchy with counters. Solid right hand lands for him. Body shots connect. Elbiali with a left hook, eats a jab. Heavy right by Hernandez. One minute in. Another huge right connects, Elbiali answers in kind. Hernandez working behind his jab. Big right hand by Elbiali, Hernandez takes it well. Right lands on the ropes. Body shot connects. Round six: Elbiali muscles Hernandez to the ropes and goes to work with power shots. Hernandez manages to circle off but there's not as much coming back as before. Hard right by Elbiali, who's finding more and more success taking the flagging Hernandez to the ropes. One minute in. Hard right again from Elbiali. Hernandez comes back with a hard right. More digging work by Elbiali on the ropes. One minute to go. Body shots by Elbial. BIG two-piece by Hernandez, Elbiali walks through it. 2-1 by Hernandez, who's now putting together some counters. Round seven: Elbiali still plowing forward, launching power shots. Hernandez's volume has dropped quite a bit, although he's not getting pushed back like before. One minute in. Lead hook from Elbiali. Body shot. Right hand exchange. Hernandez firing the jabs again, eats a right hand. Elbiali again to the body. One minute to go. Round eight: Elbiali continues his advance. Hernandez just can't slow the big man down. Right uppercut lands. They trade body shots near the corner. One minute in. Overhand right by Hernandez.
