Junior middleweight prospect Erickson Lubin, a 20-year-old puncher from Orlando, will fight in the main event of a PBC on Bounce card on January 31 at the Seminole Casino in Immokalee, Florida, facing Jose de Jesus Macias in a 10-round fight.
Lubin (13-0, 10 KO) went 5-0 in 2015, and was ranked as our No. 1 prospect in the 154-pound division in the BLH Year in Review. He last fought on November 28, knocking out Alexis Camacho in two rounds in Dallas in a PBC on NBC card. Macias (18-4-2, 9 KO), a 23-year-old fighter from Mexico, lost his last fight, a 10-round split decision against Alejandro Barrera in October.
"I am excited and ready to shine in my first main event," Lubin said. "It means a lot to headline in my home state of Florida. The whole crowd will be on my side, and they will expect a lot. ... I am training hard, staying focused and I want to make sure the whole world knows who Erickson Lubin is."
In welterweight action on the card, Alex De Jesus (21-1, 13 KO) will face Joseph Elegele (14-2, 10 KO) in another 10-round fight. Brooklyn featherweight Dennis Galarza (11-1, 8 KO) will also be in action on the show, with no opponent set yet.
