Marco Huck vs. Dmytro Kucher official for November 19th in Hannover

Huck defeated Ola Afolabi for the IBO cruiserweight title earlier this year.

In yet another quality cruiserweight matchup, newly-crowned IBO champion Marco Huck will make his first title defense in Hannover against the Ukraine’s Dmytro Kucher. The straightforwardly-named Huck Sports today announced the November 19th bout via press release.

Huck (39-3-1, 27 KO) saw his seven-year reign as the WBO Cruiserweight Champion end at the hands of Krzysztof Glowacki just one fight short of breaking Johnny Nelson’s record for consecutive cruiserweight title defenses. He rebounded with a chippy win over Ola Afolabi in February and was recently booked to face Ovill McKenzie before "The Upsetter" pulled out due to illness.

Kucher (24-1-1, 18 KO) ended Enzo Maccarinelli’s career in June with a first-round thrashing. He was coming off a bogus draw against Bilal Laggoune and, while he doesn’t have any true standout wins, he is the only man among Ilunga Makabu’s nineteen-fight streak that "Junior" failed to knock out. He ultimately lost a narrow majority decision.

It should be a solid fight; Kucher can hit and Huck’s always good for a scrap.
