Andre Ward vows not to be bullied by Sergey Kovalev

With their big showdown less than a month away, Ward makes it clear that he’ll be like no opponent Kovalev has ever faced before.

November 19th marks one of the very few bright spots we have left on this year’s schedule — when Andre Ward challenges light heavyweight champion Sergey Kovalev. This fight has been highly anticipated for quite some time and as viewed as a true toss-up fight where both men are seen to have about equal chances of winning.

But Andre Ward fully expects to be at his best and aims to put on a master class performance, even going so far as labeling Kovalev a bully that he will teach a lesson to. Ward tells Sky Sports:

"I don't like bullies, I don't advocate bullying and I've never been bullied, and that's not going to change in this fight.”

After going on to mention that Kovalev will quickly realize that a fight with him won’t be what they were expecting going in, Ward also points out some weaknesses in Kovalev that will work in his favor.

"He tires in fights, he gets frustrated when he can't get guys out of there, or when he can't knock them out and endurance and conditioning are my strengths.”

So as the fight draws closer, do any of you have firm beliefs on who will win this fight? Sound off in the comments below.
