Former world champion Zab Judah is back in the news and it's for more unsavory reasons. TMZ is reporting that Judah has been charged with misdemeanor domestic battery for an incident with his wife which occurred over the summer.
As the report goes, police were dispatched to Judah's home around 3AM on July 26th for a domestic disturbance. When police spoke to Judah about the disturbance, he said that he had gotten into an argument with his wife after she reportedly destroyed all of his clothes when another woman claimed she had a baby by him. Judah told police, however, that he did not put hands on his wife.
Unfortunately Judah's wife and her sister offered a different version of events to police, who told them that Judah had been drinking and pushed her down to the floor by her face, causing her head to strike the ground. The responding officer did not notice any injuries to his wife, but did note that she repeatedly touched her face as if were hurt.
Judah was arrested and is due back in court next month after being charged with misdemeanor battery/domestic violence.
It appears that things may be unraveling rather quickly for Judah who continues to deal with a 2014 DUI arrest while also being caught on camera giving a fake name to a motorist after he was involved in a collision earlier this year, appearing inebriated.
Judah hasn't fought professionally since a late 2013 loss to Paulie Malignaggi and has had several failed comeback attempts since then.
