Tonight at 10:35 pm ET on HBO, Vasyl Lomachenko returns to make the first defense of his WBO super featherweight title, facing fellow former featherweight titleholder Nicholas Walters, live from Las Vegas.
The fight will also air in the United Kingdom on BoxNation.
Lomachenko (6-1, 4 KO) dominated Rocky Martinez in his last outing, and scored a sensational knockout to lift the WBO 130-pound belt. Walters (26-0-1, 21 KO) will be fighting for the first time in 11 months, following a controversial draw against Jason Sosa, a fight most observers, it seemed, thought Walters deserved to win.
It’s a tough matchup for Walters, but far from easy for the celebrated amateur legend Lomachenko, too, with Walters holding a significant reach advantage and possessing the most puching power that Lomachenko has faced as a professional.
Join us this evening for live, round by round coverage and scoring for this fantastic matchup!

ROUND BY ROUND
VASYL LOMACHENKO vs NICHOLAS WALTERS
Round 1: Feeling out round mostly, but Lomachenko finds the range in the last minute, and lands a few good little shots. Nothing huge, nothing game changing, but he's already showing his skills and advantages. Walters didn't wait, he moved his hands, but couldn't land. Lomachenko 10-9
Round 2: Good jabs from Lomachenko, a few lefts up top. Walters does a little nice body work toward the end of the round. These rounds are fairly close but I like Lomachenko's work. Lomachenko 10-9, 20-18
Round 3: Good body shots from both. Lomachenko's footwork giving Walters terrible fits. Walters can't land anything up top, and body shots here and there aren't going to get it done. Lomachenko 10-9, 30-27
Round 4: Lomachenko isn't going to take any risks Walters doesn't force. And Walters isn't able to force much. He's getting some inside work going this round, but it's still not enough, another Lomachenko round. Lomachenko 10-9, 40-36
Round 5: Well, this matchup is a mild disappointment. I didn't expect fireworks, necessarily, but Walters just isn't getting much of anything done. Lomachenko 10-9, 50-45
Round 6: This reeks as a fight but is an excellent display of boxing technique. Lomachenko is just a class above a really good fighter. Lomachenko 10-9, 60-54
Round 7: Lomachenko now toying with Walters. Has no fear of him, and Walters looks intimidated and well off his game. He's playing with the man. Embarrassing him. Lomachenko 10-9, 70-63 -- And they’ve stopped the fight. Walters shamed into quitting, it would seem. Lomachenko RTD-7
