This afternoon at 5:30 pm ET at Top Rank TV, Manny Pacquiao and Jessie Vargas, along with the undercard fighters, will weigh in for tomorrow night’s pay-per-view card from the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.
Pacquiao (58-6-2, 38 KO) most recently fought in April, defeating Timothy Bradley Jr in the third matchup between the two. There was rampant speculation about his retirement before and after that fight, but he’s back on a totally normal schedule to face Vargas (27-1, 10 KO) for Vargas’ WBO welterweight title. Vargas last fought in March, dominating and stopping Sadam Ali to win the vacant title.
On the undercard, we’ll have three more WBO world title fights. At super bantamweight, Nonito Donaire (37-3, 24 KO) takes on unbeaten and unproven Jessie Magdaleno (23-0, 17 KO); Oscar Valdez (20-0, 18 KO) defends the featherweight title against Hiroshige Osawa (30-3-4, 19 KO); and the vacant flyweight title is on the line between Shiming Zou (8-1, 2 KO) and Kwanpichit OnesongchaiGym (39-1-2, 24 KO).
