Tonight at 10:00 pm EST on Showtime, the latest edition of ShoBox: The New Generation goes live from Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, with a four-fight bill headlined by a matchup between a pair of super bantamweight prospects.
In the main event, Adam Lopez (14-0, 7 KO) will face Mario Munoz (16-0-1, 10 KO) in a 10-round fight for a minor WBA belt. The 25-year-old Lopez, from San Antonio, was an honorable mention in the top prospects for BLH's 2015 Year in Review. He went 5-0 last year, beating a pair of other then-unbeaten prospects (Eliecer Aquino and Pablo Cruz) and ending the year on December 12 with a second round stoppage win over veteran Eric Aiken.
Munoz, 25, from Guadalajara, has faced a veteran solid veterans himself, including Mario Briones and Oscar Arenas. He faced Moises Flores in 2012, with that fight ending in a four-round no-contest due to an accidental clash of heads.
Also in action will be super middleweight Ronald Ellis (12-0, 10 KO), who will face Jerry Odom (13-2, 12 KO). Super middleweight John Magda (11-0, 7 KO) will face Christopher Brooker (7-1, 5 KO). And southpaw lightweight Lavisas Williams (8-0-1, 3 KO) will take on O'Shaquie Foster (9-1, 6 KO). All of those fights are set for eight rounds.
