Vasyl Lomachenko offers Nicholas Walters $300K of his purse if Walters can beat him

Vasyl Lomachenko appears to really want the Nicholas Walters fight, so bad that he's even offering to give up a portion of his purse to Walters if he wins.

Much has been said recently about the potential fight between Vasyl Lomachenko and Nicholas Walters - a fight Top Rank promoter Bob Arum wants made for June 11. Recently, however, Arum has been saying that Walters has been pricing himself out of the fight, asking for more money than is on the table. Lomachenko has already been reported to concede to moving up to 130lbs to fight Walters, but the money-matters is where the dilemma is at.

Arum says that HBO is offering $1M for the rights fee for the prospective bout, but that Walters is asking for that much for himself, which would be three times his largest payday. Arum then said that although Walters has come down some in his asking price, it hasn't been enough to make it happen. Apparently Lomachenko has caught wind of the problem and has come up with his own solution for Walters.

If Walters accepts the offer, that would make this a true prize fight in every sense of the term. And Top Rank's Carl Moretti doesn't believe for a second that Lomachenko is bluffing with his offer.

"I think he's 100 percent serious," Moretti said. "The guy wants to fight the best he can find every time out. He is a lot like Gennady Golovkin. He just wants to fight the best. It's not even about the money. He's like a 126-pound version of Golovkin."

Ok, Walters, the ball is in your court...
