We do have an update this morning on the condition of Nick Blackwell, who collapsed in the ring yesterday following his 10th round stoppage loss to Chris Eubank Jr in London, and the news isn't
Nick Blackwell update: he is in an induced coma, stable and small bleed is outside of the brain. No plans for surgery at the moment.

While this is definitely not a good situation, it could have been much worse, and that's the blessing here. Blackwell, 25, took a lot of punishment in his fight with Eubank, bravely withstanding it for nearly 10 full rounds before the fight was halted due to his left eye swelling shut.
As we mentioned yesterday, Blackwell was fully conscious and aware when the fight was stopped on the doctor's advice, shaking hands with and hugging Eubank after the fight. It wasn't until after the full announcement had been made and everything, that Blackwell collapsed in the ring. Medical personnel were on the scene and able to administer oxygen immediately, and then get him quickly stretchered out and to a hospital.
Our thoughts are with Nick Blackwell and his loved ones, and we hope for a speedy recovery.
