Friday, March 11
TyC Sports (ARG), 10:00 pm EST, Edith Soledad Matthysse vs Jelena Mrdjenovich. This is a rematch of the WBC/WBA featherweight title fight from last August, where Matthysse scored something of an upset Mrdjenovich by decision in Argentina. This time, Matthysse goes to Canada, home base for Mrdjenovich. A potential rubber match might take place in, um...what's a good neutral zone between Argentina and Canada? Mexico? BLH will try to have live coverage. (We will have live coverage if I can find a stream.)
Telemundo, 11:35 pm EST, Carlos Andres Ruiz Machuca vs Joel Montes de Oca, Hugo Guarneros vs Gabriel Ramirez.

BoxNation (UK), Noon EST, Terry Flanagan vs Derry Mathews, Guillermo Rigondeaux vs Jazza Dickens, Zolani Tete vs Jose Santos Gonzalez, Tommy Langford vs Lewis Taylor. Plenty of undercard fights here, too, including returns for Vijender Singh, Kevin Satchell, Matty Askin, Paul Butler, Steven Lewis, Ryan Farrag, and more. Overall it's a pretty nice card, and the Rigo fetishists will be able to see their guy. Flanagan-Mathews should be, at worst, entertaining, as Mathews is a pretty fun fighter to watch and Flanagan has been on a tear. BLH will have live coverage.

L'Equipe 21 (FRA), 2:00 pm EST, Cedric Vitu vs Ruben Varon, Igor Mikhalkin vs Patrick Bois, Yvan Mendy vs Samir Kasmi, Hassan N'Dam vs Patrick Mendy. A couple of European titles on the line here, Vitu defending the 154-pound belt, Mikhalkin the 175-pound belt. Plus you've got some known veteran names on the card otherwise.

SAT1 (DEU), 4:30 pm EST, Juergen Braehmer vs Eduard Gutknecht. Pretty typical Braehmer fight, taking on a fringe contender for what passes as a world title. It is what it is.

Indigo PPV (CAN), 9:00 pm EST, David Lemieux vs James de la Rosa, Steven Butler vs Sladjan Janjanin, Schiller Hyppolite vs Darnell Boone. Lemieux makes his return in Montreal following last October's loss to Gennady Golovkin. de la Rosa is best known for upsetting Alfredo Angulo, but he was absolutely smashed by Hugo Centeno Jr three months later, and hasn't fought since December 2014.
TyC Sports (ARG), 10:00 pm EST, Debora Anahi Dionicius vs Luna del Mar Torroba.

CBS Sports Network, 11:00 pm EST, Zab Judah vs Josh Torres, Jesus Gutierrez vs Leon Spinks III. Judah, 38, makes his return on Saturday (fingers crossed!) after several aborted comeback attempts in the last however many months, since last fall or whatever. This is meant to be the first of a series of fights at The D in Las Vegas, but we'll see. Everyone has a new boxing series idea and mostly they peter out. With the cancellation of the Thurman-Porter card, we'll be 100% able to devote time to live coverage for this fight. Are you excited? BLH will have live coverage.
UniMas, 11:00 pm EST, Casey Ramos vs Jonathan Perez, Miguel Marriaga vs Adones Aguelo. Ramos is a decent lightweight prospect, not a puncher at all, but a solid boxer. Perez is 34-0 ... in Colombia. He is 1-13 outside of Colombia, and that would've been 1-14 except one loss was overturned because his opponent tested positive for marijuana.

Azteca (MEX), 11:00 pm EST, Miguel Berchelt vs George Jupp. This was supposed to be Berchelt challenging Rocky Martinez for the WBO super featherweight title, but Martinez had to withdraw with a hand injury. So Jupp steps in, and this is for the interim WBO belt, which makes this a rare case where an interim belt makes sense. Berchelt is a legit top prospect, while Jupp is coming off an upset win in December over Mitchell Smith.
