David Lemieux's return to action on Saturday night has an American TV home, as the former middleweight titleholder's bounce-back attempt against James de la Rosa will be aired by FOX Deportes, with coverage starting at 10:00 pm EST.
Lemieux (34-3, 31 KO) is coming off of a one-sided TKO-8 loss to Gennady Golovkin last October, where Lemieux lost his IBF middleweight title, which Golovkin unified with the WBA belt. The 27-year-old Canadian hopes to get back into the middleweight mix sooner than later, and starts with this fight in Montreal, a 10-rounder.
de la Rosa (23-3, 13 KO) is best-known for his 2014 upset of Alfredo Angulo, but that was something of a mirage, as Angulo was simply worn out and immobile. Three months later, de la Rosa was knocked out in five rounds by prospect Hugo Centeno Jr. He hasn't fought since then, meaning he's been out of action for 15 months.
The fight will also air on pay-per-view in Canada.
