Tonight's ShoBox: The New Generation isn't over just yet, but the second fight of the evening featured another Knockout of the Year candidate, as Louisiana lightweight Mason Menard absolutely destroyed Eudy Bernardo in the third round with an overhand right:

Bernardo (21-1, 15 KO) was knocked down previously in the second round, and caught with some good, clean shots by Menard (31-1, 23 KO), who showed some nice skills, nice hand speed, and a real patience that ultimately led to the knockout. Even when he was in control and seemed to have Bernardo hurt or off balance, he didn't go crazy looking for a KO. But when the opening presented itself in the third round, he clearly saw it and took advantage.
Bernardo was immediately put into a neck brace and placed on a stretcher, with medical personnel incredibly quick on the scene and taking all precautions with the fighter.
