Canelo Alvarez talks Khan, scoffs at Golovkin's win over Wade

Canelo Alvarez discusses his upcoming fight with Amir Khan, and clearly didn't think much of Gennady Golovkin's win this weekend.

On Golovkin saying he'd go to 154 for Mayweather but not under 160 for Canelo

"I don't give it that much importance. He can say what he wants. I really don't pay attention. But after his performance on Saturday, and the kind of opponent he had, it's less important. I'm 25 years old, I've faced so many champions and ex-world champions, it speaks for itself."

On big fight experience from Mayweather/Cotto bouts

"Of course, it helps you and prepares you for the next fights. Again, I'll repeat it. At 25 years old, I've had some pretty big fights, I've been in some big events and some big fights. All that helps."

On Abel Sanchez saying Mexican fans will turn on him

"I don't know where that's coming from, but it really has no merit. Especially considering the opponent he just fought against on Saturday."

On countering Amir Khan's speed

"He's fast and very elusive, but that's what I trained hard for. I trained hard for that. That's the style we were working on. That's what you try to do."

On Khan being a bigger challenge than Cotto

"He can be more difficult than Cotto. He really can, because of his style. I'm not taking him lightly. I think it's going to be a difficult fight and I'm going to be prepared for it."

On Khan's chin

"I don't think about that. It's something that I'm going to take advantage of the tools I have on fight night. Whether he has a chin or not, it's not my problem."

On talk of fighting Manny Pacquiao

"It's a fight that can happen. It's just a rumor right now. I'm focused 100 percent on Amir Khan. There are fights that people talk about, there might be some excitement toward that, but I'm concentrating on Amir Khan."

On experience against Lara and Mayweather helping

"Of course. It's styles that are very similar. It helped me. I gained that experience by fighting them. It's something I can utilize against Amir Khan."

On dealing with Khan's speed after struggling with Mayweather's

"It's something I've been working on in camp with Eddy. He's coming up with a strategy. We've worked at that with the sparring partners, we have fast sparring partners."

On Khan putting on size and maybe slowing down

"I hope so! I hope he does come a little slower."
