Top Rank promoter Bob Arum catches up with Marcos Villegas of FightHub for a few moments to talk about the possibility of a Mayweather-Pacquiao rematch while also touching on all of the hubbub about a Floyd Mayweather-Conor McGregor fight. Arum didn't have as much to say as he usually does, but he does drop a few quotes. Check it out.
Arum on whether Top Rank's reported settlement in a lawsuit against Al Haymon could pave the way for a Mayweather-Pacquiao rematch:
"...My guy Manny Pacquiao is a senator from the Philippines."
On Mayweather saying he wants to fight Conor McGregor:
"That's ridiculous. You know, McGregor is a MMA guy and that's a different sport than boxing. And if McGregor fought [Mayweather] as a boxer it's a joke, shouldn't be allowed."
On a fight like that happening before with Muhammad Ali facing Antonio Inoki:
"That wasn't real, believe me, I promoted it...I don't want to talk about it."
