Well, it looks like training could be going better for heavyweight world champion Tyson Fury. The heavyweight titlist recently took to social media to talk about a recent sparring session where he got beat up and dropped three times by a light heavyweight from Belgium. Here's what he had to say.
"Hello, fight fans. Just an update on how training camp is going...I've got some bad news for everybody, there was a light heavyweight kid come to the gym yesterday from Belgium - absolute dynamite. I thought I could just play with him like I usually do and he bladdered me three times, put me down in sparring, gave me a black eye, cut me across the eye nearly.
"I had no head guard on and I said he could wear 10oz gloves, obviously because he's a light heavyweight and he can't hurt me, but I found out that speed kills and I hit the deck three times when Peter [Fury] said 'what's going on?' I said, 'listen, I'm a bit overweight so me timings not there and me resilience isn't there'...let's see if Klitschko can do the same, I know he hasn't got the same feet as a light heavyweight."
Tyson Fury is scheduled to defend the WBA and WBO belts he won from Wladimir Klitschko on July 9th. Hopefully this will spur him to get into shape.
