Chris Eubank Jr. has an opponent for his previously-announced June 25th BBBofC title defense. The rising Englishman will take on Welshman Tom Doran, who picked up a WBC trinket earlier this year.
The fight joins George Groves vs. Martin Murray as one of the few official fights set for the undercard of Anthony Joshua vs. Dominic Breazeale.
Doran (17-0, 7 KO) could be described as a step sideways for Eubank if one used a very generous interpretation of "sideways." The twenty-eight-year-old won a Prizefighter tournament in 2015, but he's never gone past the sixth round as a pro and has only been booked for ten rounds thrice. He's also been dropped multiple times in the past, including in his last fight against Luke Keeler.
It's a crap fight, but at least Eubank tends to wreck this level of opponent in entertaining fashion.
Conor Benn and Dillian Whyte are also set to appear on the card, though neither has an opponent at the time of publishing.
