Shane Mosley saves baby from accident on 405 freeway

Shane Mosley made headlines for an act of kindness and bravery in Los Angeles.

Former three-division world champion Sugar Shane Mosley is in the news thanks to his rescue of a baby in a four-car pileup on the 405 freeway near Los Angeles.

Mosley, 44, and his girlfriend stopped when they saw the pile-up, and got out to see a baby crying and bleeding in a car seat, with no one able to help.

The father of the baby who was driving the car was so out of it he couldn't unlock the door to get to the baby, Mosley added. Mosley and his girlfriend called 911 and finally got the baby out of the car, and held him until paramedics arrived. "The baby was crying and bleeding, his neck was bruised," Mosley said. Mosley grabbed the baby bag from the car and then followed the ambulance to the hospital.

Mosley and his girlfriend took the bag to the hospital and waited on the mother to arrive. In the end, the father and the baby were both OK.

Mosley (49-9-1, 41 KO) returns to the ring on May 28 in Glendale, Arizona, to face David Avanesyan for the interim WBA welterweight title.
