As a precautionary measure, and as is customary after a knockout, Amir Khan was taken to a local hospital in Las Vegas following his sixth round knockout defeat at the right hand of Canelo Alvarez on Saturday night, but did take the time to tweet from the ambulance (or so it appears) to let fans know that he's doing OK:
Im okay everyone thats boxing for you, congrats to @Canelo monster punch, much love to all the fans! #CaneloKhan pic.twitter.com/oQcqZQrsLl

Khan (31-4, 19 KO) suffered a brutal and scary knockout on a right hand from Alvarez (47-1-1, 33 KO), a result that frankly most predicted, though the fight was interesting, tense, and enjoyable before the inevitable finish -- which itself was true highlight reel fodder, too.
Khan, 29, was moving up in weight for this fight, facing Alvarez, 25, at a 155-pound catchweight. Khan had previously fought no higher than 147 pounds, where he campaigned from 2014-15, and the division he says he'll return to when he resumes his boxing career.
