Those of you hoping for WBO Super Welterweight Champion Liam Smith to take a step up may be a bit disappointed. "Beefy," whose brother Callum has established himself as one of the world's top super middleweights, will face Predrag Restovac in the main event of a June 4th card in his native Liverpool.
The card will also feature Paul Butler vs. Petchbarngborn Kokietgym for a fringe WBO title, plus Ryan Farrag and James Dickens in separate EBU title fights. World-ranked super flyweight Zolani Tete is set to appear as well.
To get an idea of the threat Radosevic (30-1, 11 KO) presents, he got knocked down three tines in a four-round drubbing by Felix Sturm four fights ago and rebounded by stopping a man who was 1-28-2 coming in. He might be ever-so-slightly better than Jimmy Kelly, whom Smith stopped in seven without losing a round, but even that's up for debate.
Smith disappoints me, both for his poor matchmaking and the fact that he can't have a three-way fight with Rogelio "Porky" Medina and James "Chunky" DeGale. Oh, well.
