Jessie Vargas vs. Kell Brook reportedly set for September 3rd

The upcoming WBO/IBF welterweight unification bout between Jessie Vargas and Kell Brook finally has a date and network. Vargas took to social media to announce the details yesterday evening.

Luckily, Facebook's automatic translation service is there for the monolingual among you.

"It's already confirmed my next fight for the 3th of September in England and will be televised by PPV / HBO and / Azteca! I'll be defending my championship of the world and I'll be fighting for another world championship to add to my list. On 3 September, I crowned wbo and ibf champion"

Well said, Facebook automatic translation service. Mark your calendars for the 3th September.

Vargas (27-1, 10 KO) broke a nearly five-year knockout drought in March with a dramatic finish of previously-unbeaten Sadam Ali, earning the then-vacant WBO title in the process. Considering he'll be in hostile territory against Brook (36-0, 25 KO), he may need that newfound thumping ability come September.

"Special K" has the best win between the two in Shawn Porter and has knocked out three mid-tier opponents since then. His last fight saw him blow out mandatory challenger Kevin Bizier in two.

Without knowing anything about the undercard, is this pay-per-view worthy in your book? Genuinely curious.

Note from Scott (3:51 p.m. ET - very official timestamp): The post may mean that this fight will take place on Sky Box Office PPV in the UK, HBO in the U.S., and Azteca in Mexico, rather than HBO PPV in the U.S.
