A source has informed RingTV.com that middleweight contender Danny Jacobs will not be participating in the July 30th Leo Santa Cruz-Carl Frampton card, and is instead expected to return in August or September against Sergio Mora in a sequel of their 2015 fight. While Jacobs was supposed to be fighting Mora as a co-feature on the Santa Cruz-Frampton card, he'll now be headlining his own show at a location to be determined.

Jacobs (31-1, 28 KOs) is most recently coming off a first round stoppage of Peter Quillin last December, but hasn't had a quick turnaround as sixth months have passed since that last brief appearance. With a couple more months expected to go by before he returns, a rematch against Mora leaves a little more to be desired.

Mora (28-4-2, 9 KOs), hasn't fought since his last bout against Jacobs in August 2015. In that fight both Mora and Jacobs dropped one another in the opening round before Mora went down again in the second and couldn't continue due to an injured right ankle.
